Testing The Latest Nymph Sticks

Trout do 90% of their feeding subsurface.  With that in mind, I do A LOT of nymphing.  Don’t get me wrong, I love tossing a dry when conditions allow, but generally speaking nymphing produces more fish than any other moving water technique.

Recently I’ve had the good fortune to test the latest nymphing fly rod designs.  There are some great new rods in the pipeline!  The full review will hit newsstands Nov. 22 in the form of Fly Fisherman Magazine’s 2012 Gear Guide.

In the meantime, check out a few of the rods with some Brown Trout (pictured below) I exercised last week.
