Bonefish Eyes – Check This Out

On my last trip to the Bahamas I noticed this really cool feature about the bonefishes eyes that I have not seen before.

Bonefish have this hard protective clear coating over their eyes.  That is really neat! This hard clear coating is uniform with the body of the bonefish and is hard to notice unless you turn the bonefish just right against the bottom.  Then and only then can you actually see the hard clear coating that protects their eyes.

Here is a link to our buds at Gink & Gasoline.  My friend Louis Cahill was able to actually get this eye covering in a great picture.  Check it out!
