The fight is still being fought over water from Flaming Gorge Reservoir and the Green River.  Colorado businessman Aaron Million continues to pursue water from Wyoming and Utah to water lawns on the Front Range.

According to ksl.com, Gary Herbert, Governor of Utah hasn’t yet taken a stance on the issue. http://www.ksl.com/?sid=18949049&nid=148

Gov. Herbert’s spokeswoman is quoted in the KSL article as saying “This is a very prolonged process and there are several junctures where Utah can intervene,” said Herbert’s spokeswoman, Ally Isom.

“It’s still too early in the process to talk about it,” Isom added, noting that “Utah will defend its water rights.”

I hope she’s right, but Gov. Herbert isn’t known for protecting Utah’s water rights. You may remember not too long ago Herbert had the opportunity to step up and stop a bad bill that negatively impacted stream access in Utah. He didn’t.

Governor Herbert, It seems to me there’s no time like the present to voice your disdain and let Mr. Million know you won’t allow his silly proposal to continue.
