Bruce Chard
Captain Bruce Chard, is a fulltime Florida Keys Flats guide who, for over 20 years, has guided many anglers to catch their ”fish of a lifetime.” As a Federation of Fly Fishers Master Certified Fly Casting Instructor, he has hosted many fly-fishing schools all over the United States, but also in the Bahamas, Guatemala and Belize. A highly regarded speaker and seminar presenter, he works with many of the largest companies in the fly fishing industry.
Capt Chard’s innovative fly designs flies are being sold worldwide through the Riverborn Fly Company. He has over 27 fly patterns, ranging from bonefish, permit and tarpon flies. Companies like Jim Teeny, Ross World Wide, and Simms have worked closely with Chard to design, create, promote and test new fly-fishing products. For instance, he has also lead the development of several lines and leaders for Jim Teeny Incorporated.
He’s a pro staff member with Ross Reels USA, Cliff Boxes, Gamakatsu, Buff Headwear,Seaguar, Whiting Farms, and Yellow Dog Fly Fishing Adventures.
