Abel Johnny Cash Limited Edition Reel

Abel Johnny Cash Limited Edition Reel

Abel Reels, working in partnership with the Johnny Cash estate, has announced today the release of the Johnny Cash Limited Edition Fly Reel. Featuring an anodized black on black graphic design commemorating the Man in Black himself, Abel will produce only 250 of the special edition reels for the sporting and collectors market.

According to a current press release from Abel, "The development project was part of a significant collaboration between Abel's design team and the Johnny Cash family, bringing the first HD finishes to the market in a limited edition production run. The reel is available immediately, according to Abel Director of Sales, Jeff Patterson."

Abel developed the new, proprietary HD metallurgical finish specifically for the project, which will be executed on the company's already legendary Super Series reels in sizes 5/6 and 7/8. The HD finish allows for different textures and subtle color hues within the design to create an effect that discerning buyers will immediately value.

In addition to being a globally famous country music star for over fifty years, Johnny Cash was a committed fly fisherman, taking his son John under his wing at an early age. The design is one that has particular meaning to the Cash family. "My father and I spent years of my young life fishing together around the world. He taught me to fly fish, and I know he would be excited to associate his name with such a high quality product as Abel Reels," said John Carter Cash.

A party for the product's market launch is slated to be held November 1st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the famous Bink's Lodge outside Nashville, with members of the Cash family expected to be in attendance. Sporting and music Industry professionals are sure to be on the short list of those invited as well.

The Johnny Cash Limited Edition Fly Reel represents a new standard in both artistic and technical excellence, holding value for years to come -- much as the music of Johnny Cash himself.
