My son, Clark, and I were fishing on our favorite river, the Grey’s River near Alpine, Wyoming over Labor Day weekend. After a slow morning he caught a 7″ Cutthroat on a hopper. As he got it near the shore a 15″ Cutt started to attack it. We watched dumbfounded as it bit the smaller fish 4-5 times before finally getting a good chunk of it in its mouth. My son smoothly got him on shore and the bigger fish never let go. It was by far the strangest catch either of us has witnessed. A great memory…which is what it is all about.
