Bonefish and Their Secret Lives

by Ross Purnell, Editor   |  May 13th, 2014 0

BonefishDana Dribben captured this underwater footage of bonefish feeding on the grass flats near the boat launch of Deep Water Cay with a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition camera.

We’ve all seen the telltale “puff” of sand when a bonefish eats our fly, but we’ve rarely seen it from this perspective. I found it pretty interesting that the same bonefish (or multiple bonefish) seemed to root in the exact same spot, as if they could smell a worm or crab there that they just couldn’t ferret out.
