When you’re not really sure what kind of weather you’re going to get into, the Simms Confluence Hoody is a dependable wing man for a wide range of conditions. The full-zip jacket is made from a stretch-woven face fabric with a grid-fleece liner. It’s stretchy, comfortable, and that waffle fleece inside traps heat and keeps you surprisingly warm for such a lightweight piece. The outside is treated with a durable water repellent treatment so occasional rain and snow showers are no problem. It’s made from 48% recycled polyester, 45% recycled ocean polyester, and 7% Spandex.

The sleeves from wrist to elbow do not have the grid fleece, they are made from a hydrophic 100% recycled polyester interlocking knitted material that is non-absorbent. Stick your hands in the water, the sleeves will drip dry instead of wicking water up your arm.

The five-panel hood has a high collar and zippered front closure so it hugs your face. Although there is no drawcord, there’s a stretch interior binding on the perimeter of the hood for a snug fit.

Two large water-resistant chest pockets with vertical semi-auto lock zippers give you extra carrying capacity when you need it, but they stay low-profile for use with waders or bibs. The same sort of shielded zippers guard the deep handwarmer pockets. If you really want to carry a bunch of stuff there are huge internal pouch pockets on both sides perfect for hats or gloves.
