A California-based non-profit that provides programs to get kids outdoors and fly fishing recently announced that it will be expanding its operations to West Virginia and North Carolina in 2022.
Cast Hope provides programs, clinics, trips, and mentors to youths in hopes of getting more young people interested in fly fishing and the outdoors, as an alternative to screens and the digital world. It also provides an alternative to the old-school model of fly-fishing clubs as the primary means of networking and finding introductions to the sport.
In addition to the expansion, Cast Hope announced the election of Jarrett Black as the President of the Board of Directors.
“With the rest of the board, we will set a vision for where we are headed and continue to share the wild places we love with those kids that need it most,” Black said.
