Casting for Recovery (CFR) is proud to announce that REC Components of Stafford Springs, CT, the exclusive distributor in the U.S. of Richard Wheatley products, has signed on to support Casting for Recovery's mission to support women with breast cancer address quality-of-life issues.
A series of Richard Wheatley® aluminum fly boxes, including "The Lady Wheatley" series, are now being sold branded with the CFR logo, and 10% of the net sale proceeds of these boxes will be donated to help fund the organization's mission.
"Every day we get notes, emails, and letters from women who tell us that their CFR weekend was life-changing in many ways," states Lori Simon, Executive Director. "They talk about sharing stories with long-time survivors and women still in treatment, being cared for by amazing volunteers, and the incredible fun of learning to fly fish while anxieties and everyday stresses fade away in the roar of the river. Beyond the delight of the fishing itself, the CFR retreat teaches women that they are stronger than they thought. One recent participant said it best: 'I will always be grateful to CFR for the lessons learned, not just in fly-fishing but in life.'"

(RWL), stated "REC and its business partner, RWL, are pleased to be associated with and support CFR's efforts to aid recovering women through fly fishing. RWL, founded in 1860, recently celebrated its 150th anniversary as a supplier of traditional, high quality products to fly fishers worldwide. To mark the occasion of our association with CFR, several unique products were developed to include the 'Lady Wheatley' range. Initially, approximately 10 RWL fly boxes will be offered by REC featuring the CFR logo. A percentage of the value of these products sold will be provided to CFR for the very important work that it does. We look forward to a long partnering association with CFR."
