Casting For Recovery
August 02, 2011
Casting for Recovery is pleased to announce that Temple Fork Outfitters has donated 32 new fly rod-and-reel sets for use in CFR's healing retreats that are held across the country. Their 2-pc. 5 wt. 8'6" rods and pink Mayfly reels will greatly enhance CFR's ability to meet the needs of its growing service to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer as it plans to hold 50 retreats in 34 states in 2012.
Lori Simon, Executive Director of Casting for Recovery, praises Temple Fork Outfitters' generosity. "Temple Fork Outfitters' support is a wonderful boost to our ability to meet the continuing increased demand for our program. Their recent donation of 32 fly rods and reels will enable us to continue to offer high-quality equipment to our participants as they learn the fun, new sport of fly fishing. With more retreats scheduled than ever before, we had a need for more equipment and upon learning this, TFO immediately stepped up to the plate, for which we are so grateful."
"We are fortunate to be in a position to help CFR and to provide some positive distraction from the courageous battles endured by its participants," says Rick Pope, President of TFO. "The rods and reels are less important than our love and respect for their cause."
Temple Fork Outfitters (http://www.templeforkflyrods.com) has been a valued Merchandising Partner of Casting for Recovery since 2007, allocating $25 from sales of their "Recovery and Hope" fly rods to help fund new Casting for Recovery retreat programs retreats across the United States.
