Ross Reels and Coors Light have introduced a new limited‑edition fly reel featuring what the company calls an industry‑first, patent‑pending temperature‑reactive finish as part of their ongoing Colorado‑based collaboration . The Coors Light Cimarron LT uses CERANO ThermoChromic technology, causing the mountain graphics on the frame to turn blue below 70°F–intended to signal colder, trout‑safe water conditions. Built on the redesigned Cimarron LT platform, the reel includes aggressive weight‑saving porting, a composite‑disc drag system, and in‑house anodizing, with prices starting at $499 across three sizes. Production is capped at 2,000 reels.
Ross and Coors Banquet have also announced two new limited‑edition fly‑fishing products. The Coors Banquet x Airlite Aspire 905, a $199 9-foot 5‑weight rod, is designed as an all‑around trout tool and includes a custom Coors Banquet combo case. The partnership also introduced the Coors Banquet x Ross Cimarron Creek reel, a lightweight click‑pawl model available in three sizes and priced at $349, with only 1,000 units reels produced across the run.

“Embrace A Stream helps anglers give where they fish and be champions for the rivers and streams they love,” Jeff Yates, Senior Director of Engagement at Trout Unlimited said. “This partnership, and this kind of sustained, multi-year support is essential to TU’s mission to care for and recover rivers across the country for the benefit of the fish and communities that depend on them.”
