Grundéns , the century‑old fishing‑apparel manufacturer with operations in Washington and Sweden, has appointed Andrew Gritzbaugh as its new Chief Executive Officer. The company announced the leadership change on February 11, noting that Gritzbaugh will assume the role immediately as Grundéns marks its 100‑year anniversary.
Topher Gaylord, Chairman of the Board, said the decision reflects the company’s focus on strengthening its consumer reach and long‑term strategic direction.
“He has a strong background in leading consumer‑focused, omnichannel brands at scale,” Gaylord said in the announcement, citing Gritzbaugh’s experience building teams and guiding brand growth.

Gritzbaugh brings nearly two decades of leadership experience across outdoor and consumer‑product companies. His previous roles include senior management positions at Gerber and Aqualung Group, followed by Chief Commercial Officer roles at MeatEater and Grunt Style. According to Grundéns, his leadership style and familiarity with the fishing community align with the company’s culture and values.
“I’ve known Grundéns for over a decade,” Gritzbaugh said in the release. “Fishing has long been a personal passion of mine, which makes this role especially meaningful.” He added that he aims to strengthen the company’s capabilities and help shape its next chapter.
Founded in 1926 in the coastal village of Grundsund, Sweden, the company built its reputation producing durable waterproof gear for both commercial fishermen working in harsh North Sea conditions. Today, Grundéns manufactures a broad range of fishing outerwear , footwear, and sun‑protection apparel for both commercial and recreational anglers. The brand operates globally from Poulsbo, Washington, and Borås, Sweden.
