Renzetti Inc., known for its high-quality fly-tying vises and tools, has announced the sale of the company to Mayfly Outdoors, owners of Abel Reels, Ross Reels, Airflo fly lines, and the recently acquired DynaKing vises.

Founded in 1972 by Andy Renzetti, the Florida-based company and its employees are now looking to focus more on family, friends, and the joy of fishing itself. Renzetti’s product line includes the Presentation, Traveler, and Master vises, along with a range of specialized tools and accessories.

“Our partnership with Mayfly Outdoors marks an exciting chapter in our history,” Lily Renzetti, President of Renzetti Inc. and R-Distribution LLC, shared. “In looking at their journey, we realize they share the same values as we do, and we are confident that Mayfly Outdoors will carry the Renzetti legacy forward and continue to provide our valued customers with the very best in products and service.”

Mayfly Outdoors is a Certified B Corporation headquartered in Montrose, Colorado, with experience in this space after adding DynaKing, Inc. vises to its portfolio of brands in early 2023

The transition should be seamless, with all Renzetti products continuing to be manufactured in the USA under the same leadership and team, according to a press release. Lily will remain President and General Manager, with Andy consulting on new product development. Manufacturing will continue under the leadership of Andrew Renzetti.

“We are excited and honored to have Renzetti join the Mayfly family,” Mayfly Outdoors CEO Jeff Wagner said. “We look forward to honoring their history, legacy, innovation and commitment to the art of fly tying. Our goal is to continue the amazing work they have done and combine it with our own expertise in manufacturing and anodizing. I know we can learn a lot from them and their business. We thank the Renzetti family and team for all they have done, and will continue to do in fly fishing and fly tying. It is truly an honor to be working with them and have this opportunity.”

With their combined experience and shared values, they are poised to continue inspiring creativity and passion for the art of fly tying.
