Gear Guide 2012 Preview

Gear Guide 2012 Preview

One of the exciting new products we tested for Gear Guide 2012 was Patagonia's new River Crampons. These are similar the the old Korkers Wading Sandals in that you strap them over your wading boots and can easily remove them at any time. These don't have hard metal cleats thoughthe crampons have five soft aluminum bars on the bottom that stick to rock surfaces. (Also shown in this video are Rock Grip boots, which you can now get with the bars bolted right to the bottom. It's exactly the same traction, but no on/off function.)
