In Pictures: A steelhead on a dry
The take.

I'm just back from a minor binge of fishing summer steelhead.  On day two, I was fishing with a friend I call Perky (thusly dubbed because of his demeanor in the hours after landing a slab of chrome).  Perky and I worked hard to reach a remote run we like, a place that had produced a few fish for me the day before, and I set up on shore to snap pictures as he knotted on a big dry and set to work.  Perky has a special talent for making steelhead look up.  See for yourself.
