Indifly, a fly-fishing nonprofit dedicated to serving Indigenous communities globally is extending an invitation to supporters to join the “Indifly Corps." This community of recurring monthly donors aims to help fund Indifly’s mission of helping Indigenous communities overcome obstacles to conservation goals through fly fishing.

Through fly fishing ecotourism ventures, the organization collaborates with Indigenous communities to develop innovative strategies for preserving their cultural heritage and ecosystems. The Indifly Corps represents an opportunity for individuals to contribute on an ongoing basis. Members are asked to pledge their commitment to supporting 80 percent of the world's remaining biodiversity and gain access to various benefits, like member meet-ups, quarterly webinars, and appreciation gifts from partner brands like Costa Sunglasses and Yeti.

Matt Shilling, the Executive Director of Indifly, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support of existing Corps members and emphasized the organization's goals to enhance and expand its community in 2024.

“Five years ago we had a vision to provide a simple way for supporters to consistently engage with our cause. In 2019 the Indifly Corps was born, and individual monthly donors, who are committed to helping Indigenous communities bridge barriers to conservation goals, began supporting our mission,” Shilling said in a press release. “It’s our goal in 2024 to expand and enhance the Indifly Corps. As a token of our appreciation for our current Corps, and in an effort to grow our community of supporters, Indifly will provide additional benefits and forge greater connections to loyal participants.”

Indifly's origins trace back to a project aimed at assisting an Indigenous village in Guyana in establishing a fly-fishing eco-lodge. The success of this endeavor laid the foundation for Indifly's expansion to other regions and its evolution into an organization dedicated to championing Indigenous peoples as they safeguard a significant portion of the planet's biodiversity.

Currently, Indifly operates projects in Guyana (Rewa Eco-Lodge), French Polynesia (Anaa Atoll), Lesotho (Makhangoa Community Camp), and the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, with additional projects in development.
