Maximize Your Fishing Time

If there is one thing all anglers never get enough of, it's fishing time on the water. To make the most of your time on the water you need to efficiently tie knots.

Have you ever decided to keep using a fly or technique that hasn't produced because you don't want to re-tie your setup? If so, you would benefit from some knot practice. The next time you park it on the couch to watch a ball game grab some line, nippers & flies and practice tying knots. Long fishing road trips are another good time to practice (assuming you aren't the driver). Use knots that are strong, but easy to tie. Favorites include blood, double or triple surgeons for leader to tippet connections and clinch, uni or palomar to the fly. Check out this video to see how to quickly tie a clinch knot:
