New Product: Airflo's Skagit Intermediate Compact

New Product: Airflo's Skagit Intermediate Compact
The Skagit Intermediate Compact retails for $54.99

Airflo is introducing a new product to their line-up of Skagit heads, the Skagit Intermediate Compact.

In short, this new head is an intermediate version of their wildly popular floating Skagit Compact, which is one of the easiest casting heads available, according to my testing.

The advantage of an intermediate head, according to Airflo, is that the head will be less influenced by the currents of the river, allowing--here's my reading between the lines--a slower swing. Of course, a disadvantage may be that the head is more difficult to pick up and reposition after it touches the water. However, such heavy-handed mending is rarely necessary anyway.

The head is available in a full range of sizes, from 450 grains to 720, in 30 grain increments, and lengths range from 21 to 24 feet.
