Riversmith, manufacturers of rooftop rod racks and accessories, has announced the introduction of the Swiftcast Rod Holder, a modular fly rod holder for fishing rafts. If you’re looking to replace your do-it-yourself rod holder or interested in making modifications to your raft and frame, these protectors are worth a look.

The Swiftcast was designed to solve a problem that many raft anglers face: how to fish while protecting a fly rod that is not being used. You can use multiple Swiftcast Rod Holders on your boat depending on how many rods need to be stored and they can be mounted universally and configured for your particular needs. They attach inside or outside of the oar tower (or inside and outside, on the same side of the raft), can be paired together in-line or bi-directional, and come in both curved or straight tube options. They were designed for quick assembly out of the box, are easy to install, can be mounted and deployed to almost any rafting frame, and were designed to fit most standard rod sizes (up to 10 feet and 10-weight).

Swiftcast Rod Holders are constructed from a durable polymer that is impact resistant, UV stable, and corrosion resistant.

Another feature that sets the Swiftcasts apart from other rod holders is their "swift release" elastic cord for security in rapids. This also allows anglers to quickly and easily release their rod from the holder with a simple motion, without having to fumble with buttons or levers.

The bottomless reel box allows water to drain and the curve of the nose cone smoothly transfers your rod from the channel into the curved tubes for quick and seamless access. And they rotate  so you won’t break a rod tip or guide during storage or deployment.

The Riversmith Swiftcast Rod Holders are a great choice for fly anglers looking for a high-quality, adjustable, and durable raft rod holder that will make their time on the water more enjoyable and productive.

Swiftcast Rod Holders can be pre-ordered starting today but will not be shipped for delivery until May 1st, 2023.
