Some people teach their children to fly fish for completely altruistic reasons. They want them to reap the benefits of fresh air and sunshine, and solve the puzzling question of “what are the trout eating right now?”

They want them to see the beauty of the flowing water, the mountains, and everything that comes with it—moose, beavers, otters, red-wing blackbirds, frogs, and dazzling damselflies and dragonflies. It’s a visually stunning sport, with obvious benefits for the minds and bodies of young people.

The rest of us have some additional selfish desires. We want to go fishing—but you can’t just ditch your kids and head to the river, you have responsibilities . . .

The all-new K’s Tributary Waders help you fulfill those adult responsibilities and get you—and your kids—onto the river much more often. I have a friend who had custom waders made for his 6-year-old son last year, and he said the net result was an additional 20 fishing days in 2022. “Getting a pair of waders for Griffin was like getting a no-strings-attached hall pass,” he said. “As soon as I had those waders, we could go fishing whenever I wanted.”

Luckily, Simms has fixed it so you don’t have to drain the bank account to get this unlimited “hall pass.” Simms K’s Tributary Waders are affordable and come in three sizes: small (for kids 47 to 52 inches tall), medium (53"-58"), and large (59"-64").

They are built with a breathable waterproof polyester 3-layer upper and 4-layer lower, with a 1-inch woven back loop and a nonstretch waist belt so you can easily grab your little one to help them cross swift water, or haul them to safety at any time,

Tributary waders also have built-in gravel guards with a gathered elastic hem. They have anatomically engineered neoprene left and right stockingfeet with an antimicrobial finish.

You can also get Kid’s Tributary Wading Boots ($149.95) in child sizes 4 through 8, and with either rubber stud-compatible soles, or felt soles.

The affordable Tributary waders are also available for men (10 sizes) and women (9 sizes).
