Skwala Thermo 350 Pant: Very, Very Comfy

Under-wader layering that could quickly become your go-to.

Skwala Thermo 350 Pant: Very, Very Comfy

$169 | skwala.com

Skwala bills its Thermo 350 Pant under-wader baselayer bottoms as “the most comfortable cold-weather pants you’ve ever worn” and it’s hard to disagree. I have taken to wearing them as pajama bottoms and joggers, as well as fishing layering.

These 95-to-5 percent 20.5 Micron Merino wool-to-spandex blend pants feel great on the skin and look polished enough for grocery shopping. The hand-selected New Zealand Merino wool is known for its natural warmth, moisture-wicking properties, and odor resistance. It also features a gusseted crotch for superior mobility, a flat waistband for comfort under waders, and ankle cuffs. The elastic waistband accommodates a variety of sizes, and the silky pocket material is uber comfortable. Details like the little rubberized aglets on the drawstring make these pants feel all the more luxurious.

The only downside is that they can become a bit too warm on afternoons that heat up quickly, or on big hikes.

The Skwala Thermo 350 Pant is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality and versatile baselayer pant. It is warm, comfortable, and durable, and it features a number of thoughtful design features that make it ideal for a variety of activities.
